Why can't residents just install their own chargers?

An apartment's transformer was sized by the DISCOM for domestic load, using a diversity factor of roughly 0.5–0.6 — the assumption that not everyone draws power at once. When 15–20 EVs charge simultaneously overnight, that assumption breaks and the building risks tripping or, worse, transformer damage that can cost ₹25–40 lakh to rectify. Uncoordinated individual chargers also sidestep multi-tenant electrical safety norms. A centralised, load-managed system solves both problems.

What is the CORE load-management engine, and why does it matter?

CORE is our software engine that continuously reads the building's live electrical load and distributes available capacity across every active charger in real time. During peak domestic usage it throttles or queues charging so the building never exceeds its sanctioned load — while still delivering a full overnight charge to each vehicle. It is what lets many chargers share one sanctioned load safely.

Is the installation compliant with regulations?

Every Nevora design follows Central Electricity Authority (CEA) regulations and IS 16046 standards for the charging equipment, and we coordinate the required electrical inspection and DISCOM approvals. Compliance documentation is handed over to your management committee as part of the project.

What charger types do you install?

Typically 3.3 kW and 7.4 kW AC charge points per bay, selected based on your building's sanctioned load and the number of EVs to be served. The exact mix is confirmed after the site survey and load study.

We offer flexible models to fit your community's budget. Most communities proceed on a full CAPEX basis; where that's a barrier, we can structure financing for the charging hardware so charging can start sooner. The right model is recommended after your free site survey — there is no one-size-fits-all answer, and we'd rather match it to your society than push a single option.

Who pays for the electrical cabling?

All electrical cabling from the building's main panel or electrical room to each charging bay is part of the community's (or builder's) electrical scope, under every model. This is the structural wiring that becomes a permanent part of your building. Nevora funds and operates the charging hardware and software; the in-building cabling is the community's responsibility. We make this clear upfront so there are no surprises at proposal stage.

How are residents billed for the electricity they use?

Each charging point is individually metered and linked to the CORE platform. Residents track their usage through a mobile interface, and bills are generated automatically from actual kWh consumed. The management committee doesn't read meters, compute tariff slabs, or chase payments.

Does the society earn anything from this?

Depending on the model chosen, the community can retain a share of the charging revenue. We'll walk through the specific commercials for your society during the proposal, after the site survey.

Who maintains the system after installation?

Accepted Answer

Nevora operates and maintains the charging hardware and software — including troubleshooting, repairs, and over-the-air firmware updates — under the terms of your agreement. Day-to-day operations are our responsibility, not the committee's.

What happens as more residents buy EVs?

The centralised backbone is designed to scale within your sanctioned load. As adoption grows, CORE redistributes capacity across more bays; additional charge points can be added without re-architecting the system, up to the limits of your sanctioned load.
